Chemr | deicing products
ChemR stands out for its high performance standards, where quality and responsiveness come together to deliver products and services that exceed our customers’ expectations. Our mission is to provide the deicing industry with the best eco-friendly formulations along with fast and reliable service. With our high-quality products and expertise, ChemR is your trusted partner in the aviation sector.
Environmental impacts
One of ChemR's main missions is to provide the aviation industry with the most effective and environmentally friendly ground aircraft deicing formulations. ChemR supports the airport communities initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of deicing and aircraft operations. To optimize the aviation industry’s growing efforts in deicing fluid recycling, we have developed an ultra-concentrated formulation that transforms recycled glycol into Type I. This significantly reduces the carbon footprint associated with deicing operations at airports.

Our product line
ChemR offers a wide range of deicing fluids (Type I) and anti-icing fluids (Type IV). Deicing fluids are specially formulated to effectively remove ice and snow from aircraft surfaces by applying a heated fluid under high pressure. In contrast, Type IV anti-icing fluids create a viscous protective layer on aircraft components, helping to prevent new ice formation and significantly extending the available time before takeoff. Due to thixotropy properties, the viscosity of these next-generation fluids decreases as the aircraft accelerates for takeoff, allowing for maximum flow-off from the surfaces. This innovative combination of products ensures optimal protection and enhances safety during flight operations.
CHEMR NORDIK IV
ChemR Nordik IV is a next-generation Type IV fluid based on ethylene glycol, formulated to protect clean and treated aircraft surfaces against the formation of ice, snow, or frost.

Add Pack
As part of the aviation industry’s initiatives to improve de-icing fluid recycling, we have developed ultra-concentrated additives (Add Pack) capable of converting recycled glycol into Type I. Our Add Pack accounts for 4% of the final formulation of a concentrated Type I fluid. This means that when we deliver 20,000 L tanker trucks of Add Pack to airport recycling centers, it is possible to produce up to 500,000 L of concentrated Type I from recycled glycol, significantly reducing the carbon footprint associated with the transport and use of aircraft de-icing fluids.
Add Pack supply includes:
- Obtaining Transport Canada/FAA certification for on-site production
- Review and approval of production protocols
- Optimization of production processes
- Technical support
- Operations audit
WATER METHANOL
This mixture is designed to facilitate aircraft takeoff, particularly when heavily loaded, or to compensate for engine power loss caused by high ambient temperatures and/or high-altitude takeoff conditions.
